New Faculty Coordinator for 2005-2006

Associate Professor John Kiener joined the full-time Harper faculty in August, 1995 as an instructor in the Computer Information Services (CIS) department. Prior to that time, he taught at Harper as an adjunct faculty member for 14 years while working for MIS departments and data processing software consultants.

John primarily teaches NetPrep and computer programming language courses. He most recently served as the Coordinator of Learning Communities, chaired the Marketing Committee, and co-chaired the Institutional Planning Committee.

John's top priority as the new DoIT Faculty Coordinator is to talk with and work with Harper faculty on an individual or group basis to help determine if any of their teaching needs could beneficially be served through technology. He is also looking forward to investigating the use of "real time" software to teach at a distance.
